Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee, on May 5, issued a document agreeing on the trial of motorbike tours through the province for Lao and Thai visitors, starting from Cha Lo International Border Gate in Minh Hoa district.

The three-day tour includes specific routes: Cha Lo – Thien Duong Cave – Phong Nha – Dong Hoi city (overnight in Dong Hoi) on the first day; Dong Hoi – Da Nhay – tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap – Lieu Hanh Mother Goddess – Dong Hoi (overnight in Dong Hoi) on the second day; and Dong Hoi – Hoang Phuc pagoda – the memorial house for General Vo Nguyen Giap – Cha Lo on the third day.
The provincial People’s Committee asked the provincial Department of Tourism to coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to direct and supervise the Tan Lam company to operate the trial tour in compliance with provisions of the laws. Yesterday, the company welcomed the first delegation of tourists at Cha Lo International Border Gate to experience the tour through Quang Binh on motorbike.
According to Deputy Director of the province’s Department of Tourism, Nguyen Van Ky, traveling on a motorbike is an attractive tourism form, meeting the travel demand of younger visitors from Thailand and Laos to Vietnam. The tour is expected to contribute to promoting the potentials of Quang Binh’s tourism for international visitors.

Heavy rains concentrate in September, October and November. Dry season lasts from April to August. Annual average degree is 24C-26C.
