Newly-appointed Canadian ambassador: What a time to living in Vietnam!
The diplomat said he is eager to hit the ground running and start meeting Vietnamese from all walks of life across this incredible country.
In the first message as Canada's ambassador to Vietnam Shawn Steil stressed his delightfulness to work in Vietnam.
"And what a time to be living in Vietnam! This amazing country is coming out of the pandemic lockdowns and once again brimming with energy and optimism,” said the ambassador.
He also noted that Vietnam and Canada are enjoying fruitful cooperation in all fields and pledged that he will work hard to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
The two countries will mark the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2023.
