Vietnam will apply a series of new policies since April of 2018.
The new policies are related to sea lanes and traffic separation schemes in the territorial sea of Vietnam, State’s special goods transported and protected by the Vietnam People's Security Forces and compulsory fire and explosion insurance products.
Decree No. 16/2018/ND-CP dated February 02, 2018 on sea lanes and traffic separation schemes in the territorial sea of Viet Nam comes into effect since April 1, 2018.
Accordingly, vessels transporting cargos, passengers and luggage or military vessels and other non-commercial vessels crossing Viet Nam’s territorial sea and inland waterway to enter Vietnamese seaports must travel the right lanes and carry out procedures for vessels as regulated.
Decree No. 21/2018/NĐ-CP stipulates on State’s special goods transported and protected by the Viet Nam People's Security Forces. Special goods include 1 – cash (VND) and valuable papers (bonds, bills, shares, bonds and other valuable papers as regulated by law); 2 – valuable assets (gold, precious mental, gems and foreign currencies); 3- national artifacts, antiques and treasures under the charge of the State.
Decree No. 22/2018/NĐ-CP details and guides the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property in 2005 and Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Intellectual Property in 2009 regarding copyright and related rights.
Decree No. 23/2018/NĐ-CP defines compulsory fire and explosion insurance products. This new table of insurance premiums is only applied to facilities with the total sum insured on a single facility is less than VND 1,000 billion. If the total sum insured on a single facility is VND 1,000 billion or over, the insurer and the policyholder shall reach an agreement on the insurance premiums in accordance with regulations of law and with the reinsurer’s approval.
Decree No. 24/2018/NĐ-CP deals with complaints and denunciations settlements in the domain of labor, occupational education and activities of sending Vietnamese laborers to work abroad under contracts, jobs, labor safety and hygiene.
Decree 27/2018/ND-CP, amends and supplements some articles of Decree 72/2013/ND-CP on the management, supply and use of Internet services and online information.
