After the first two successful seasons of direct flights to Vietnam, Air New Zealand will continue to operate its seasonal non-stop service to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, following strong customer demand.

For the 2018 season, the airline will operate two direct services a week between Auckland and Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
On the only direct flight between New Zealand and Vietnam, customers will enjoy great uniquely Kiwi experience on board. Air New Zealand was named Airline of the Year in 05 consecutive years from 2014 to 2018 by the prestigious award Airlinerating.com.
The airline in-flight experience has been recognized with a series of awards, including Best Premium Economy Class In the World (Trip Advisor Traveler Choice 2017); Best Personalization Innovation and Best In-Flight Entertainment Innovation (IFE: 2016 The Airline Passenger Experience Association Awards) and World's Best Economy Cabins of 2015 & 2016 (AirlineRatings.com).
Outside of the direct season, Vietnam travelers can book a transfer flight from Vietnam via Singapore using Air New Zealand services. More information could be found at airnewzealand.com.vn.
In the first seven months of 2017, the number of Kiwi travelers to Vietnam stood at 27,203, an increase of 119.5% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the number of Vietnamese visitors to New Zealand has also been growing rapidly throughout the years with more than 6,000 arrivals by 2016. This shows a strong connection between the two countries and great potentials for the flight route between New Zealand and Vietnam, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
