Ninh Binh urged to develop tourism becoming a spearhead economic sector

The northern province of Ninh Binh should push its tourism sector to make breakthroughs, with the aim of turning into a spearhead economic sector, President Tran Dai Quang stressed at a working session with the province’s leaders on the afternoon of January 30.

During a working session with leaders of Ninh Binh province on January 30, President Quang extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the province’s Party organisation, authorities and people.
Speaking at the meeting, the State leader said the province should increase efforts to become a leading tourism destination in Vietnam as well as push its tourism sector to make breakthroughs with the aims to turn into a spearhead economic sector, bringing high profits to the locality.
The President restructed Ninh Binh to utilise its position in the south of the Red River Delta, where owns a number of famous cultural and historical relic sites and landscapes such as Phat Diem Stone Church, Trang An Eco-Resort, Bai Dinh Pagoda and Cuc Phuong National Park, to develop tourism and services.
The locality also needs to pay special attention to agriculture, industry, clean technology and the maritime economy, President Quang noted.

Ninh Binh should focus on administrative reforms, mechanisms and policy perfection, infrastructure development and human resources training, the Presidenr said, adding that more attention should be paid to improving Party-building and the political system in terms of ideology, organisation, personnel and inspection.
He also urged Ninh Binh province to intensify efforts to boost its potential and cultural and heroic traditions in order to fulfil targets set for this year.
