The occasion is aimed to boost cooperation between Hanoi and Ninh Thuan amid joint efforts to promote post-pandemic inbound tourism.
Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day is being held in pedestrian street area in Hanoi’s downtown district of Hoan Kiem this weekend to highlight cultural features and tourism potential of the central province of Ninh Thuan.
The special event is aimed to boost cooperation between the two localities in culture and tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic is put under control.
Besides, it is expected to introduce original cultures of ethnic groups, tourism products and specialties of Ninh Thuan to both domestic and international friends.

Addressing the event, Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Province People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam said that Ninh Thuan possesses a colorful cultural picture, unique tangible and intangible cultural heritage values, and other special advantages in tourism.
“Despite the geographical distance, there have been many activities to promote comprehensive cooperation between Hanoi City and Ninh Thuan Province over the past time, contributing to the promotion of economy, society, cultural exchange, and tourism development,” Nam said.
Diverse art programs like Cham dance have been showcased at the event to introduce visitors with the cultures and traditional arts of ethnic groups from Ninh Thuan Province. Visitors can play ethnic musical instruments themselves or try special lamb dishes of the province.
Another activity is photo exhibition displaying the province's tourism potential, cultural heritages and tourist attractions. Moreover, its tourism promotion has been shown via the screening of videos, the introduction of tours and free distribution of handbooks, maps, brochures and postcards to tourists.

Running through October 2, the event features over 50 booths highlighting One Commune, One Product (OCOP) products, tourist products, signature dishes and specialties of Ninh Thuan to Hanoians.
Previously, at Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, the Ninh Thuan Tourism Promotion Conference was held to bringing the local image closer to domestic and international friends, attracting the attention and cooperation of many investors in the capital city, as well as domestic and international travel agencies.
Located in Vietnam’s south-central region, Ninh Thuan is a coastal province with over 105 kilometers of coastline. It is home to many beautiful beaches and tourist attractions, such as beaches of Binh Son, Ninh Cu, Ca Na, and Binh Tien; or National Parks of Nui Chua and Phuoc Binh, among others.
Under the provincial tourism development plan for 2021-2025 period with a vision towards 2030, Ninh Thuan targets to welcome 3.5 million tourists, including 455,000 foreign arrivals by 2025, and to serve 6 million visitors, including 900,000 foreigners by 2030. The tourism sector is expected to earn VND2.9 trillion (US$127 million) by 2025 and VND5.9 trillion ($247 million) by 2030.
To gain the target, the local government has made bold investment in improving infrastructure, enhancing human resources, developing tourism brands, and accelerating promotion activities.
