Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden looks forward to welcome more Vietnamese tourists

Following the working trip in Thailand in August 20-21, the delegation of Economic & Urban Newspaper with Vice Editor in Chief Lai Ba Ha being the chief of delegation, along with Chiang Mai Journalism Association (Thailand) and Thai News paid a visit and worked with Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden in Chon Buri Province, Thailand.

The Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden is a 500-acre botanical garden founded by Mrs. Nong Nooch Tansacha and located 10 km aways from Pattaya beach (Chon Buri Province, east Bangkok) and 160km from Bangkok. It is one of largest tropical gardens in South East Asia and opened to the public in 1980. 


The area of the garden is 500 acres with huge collection of thousands of different tropical plants from all over the world. The most distinctive is the collection of more than 600 species of orchids, in which there is an unique kind of orchids called Blc. Mrs. Nong Nooch. Besides, one of the most beautiful corners of the garden is pineapple gardens with more than 300 different plants with diversified colors.


Every year, Nong Nooch garden is invested and expanded to attract international tourists. Each area of the garden is sorted in theme such as French garden, Europe Garden, Butterfly garden, ceramics garden, flowers valley, dinosaur parks with 21 different kinds, etc.


General Director of Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden – Mrs. Patthanone Khanthisukpone said, at present, Nong Nooch Garden is confirmed as one of the top beautiful tropical gardens in the world and ranked 4th. Besides gardens, tourists can enjoy traditional cultural shows from Thailand, as well as elephant shows. The garden currently have 70 elephants and 200 performers for daily shows performance. 


On the other hand, tourists can also enjoy fruit buffets. “I believe this will be heaven on earth and tourists are going to have their best moments ever” – Mrs. Patthanone Khanthisukpone shared.


Mrs. Patthanone Khanthisukpone also added, every year Nong Nooch garden welcomes 3 million visitors, for which 80% are international tourists. Among them, there are 300 Vietnamese tourists coming to this attraction. In particular, the garden has just completed building an area focusing on traditional Vietnamese cuisines. 

At the meeting, Mrs. Patthanone Khanthisukpone expressed her delight in welcoming the delegation of the Economic & Urban Newspaper. She wish to have the opportunity to cooperate with the Economic & Urban Newspaper in promoting the Nong Nooch garden in Vietnam, so that more and more Vietnamese tourists know about this beautiful garden.


In April, the Economic & Urban Newspaper and board of directors of Nong Nooch garden has jointly organized meeting to promote Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden with the participation of Vietnamese tourists operators.

At the meeting, Vice Editor in Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper Lai Ba Ha thanked for board of directors of the Garden for their warm welcome. During this visit, members of the delegations have gained useful knowledge about tourism operation at Nong Nooch Garden in particular and Thailand tourism in general. As such, this will be valuable experience for the delegation in the effort of contributing to the development of Hanoi tourism as well as Vietnam tourism. Vice Editor in Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper Lai Ba Ha expressed his hope that the Newspaper will be Nong Nooch’s partner in promoting the garden in Vietnam. On this occasion. Mr. Lai Ba Ha has presented souvenirs from Hanoi and other provinces in Vietnam to the board of directors of Nong Nooch.
