Numerous events to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association

The Vietnam Journalists’ Association announced the programs to mark the 65th anniversary of the Association (April 21, 1950 - April 21, 2015) at the press conference held on April 15.

Vice Standing Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA) Ha Minh Hue said various meaningful activities will be organised in Hanoi and northern Thai Nguyen province from April 20-21 to mark the 65th anniversary of the VJA.

A ceremony and conference to mark the day and recall the history of the Vietnamese revolutionary journalism during the national struggle for independence will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on April 20.
A cultural activity themed “Back to the root” will be held in the same day in Thai Nguyen.
The VJA delegation will visit the association’s memorial house and monument where the VJA was founded at Roong Khoa village in Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen, followed by a march to celebrate the 65-year development of the VJA. 
The association now has more than 22,000 members nationwide. Its 10th Congress is scheduled to convene in August to map out orientations for the next term from 2015-2020.
