The Polygon studio will open at 85 Van tri, Dong Anh, Ha Noi from 8 Jan 2017.
In the world of geometry, the Polygon is shaped by closed turning line, in other way, numbers of lines are connected on a plane. And these lines are the sides of a Polygon. Broadening our imagination to the Art World, the artists’s relationship also rely on the rule of lines that shapes a Polygon.
The Polygon studio is established with the purpose of diversifying Art activities, connecting harmonized artists to bring a fresh look to the art scene. With open-minded management, the number of members participating in POLYGON’s activities will be adjusted by events and projects.
First introducing to the public in 2008, Polygon had its first exhibition by 5 artists: Vu Duc Trung, Nguyen Ngoc Phuong, Dong Huy Bien, Nguyen Tran Cuong and Nguyen Thu Nguyet, specialized on lacquer paintings at Maison des Arts-Hanoi. In 2010, Polygon exhibited at the Vietnam Fine Art Museum. They have built the Polygon studio with 2 core members: artists Nguyen Ngoc Phuong and Nguyen Tran Cuong. The exhibiting artworks from Nguyen Ngoc Phuong and Nguyen Tran Cuong on this event are part of POLYGON’s activities.
Extending the art in various ways, linking with other groups and artists around the world is our goal that we wish Polygon could reach.
