To mark the 8th national congress of Vietnam Fine Arts Association scheduled for December 16th and 17th, the most outstanding works selected from the collection of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association will be on display at an exhibition to be held at 16 Ngo Quyen Street, Hanoi.

These works were inspired by field trips, and camps over the past five years organized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association during the period from 2010 to 2014.
The works reflect the quality and growth of Vietnamese fine art over the period.
As many as 116 works of fine arts by 116 authors were selected among 599 works in the Art Gallery of Vietnam Fine Arts Association from 2010 to 2014.
Most of the works exhibited won the award of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association , and Region Fine Arts Exhibition, and selected from the works at camps of Contemporary Graphic Art Center, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Region Fine Arts and thematic Exhibition.
69 paintings which will be on display at the exhibiton include 57 oil paintings, 5 Acrylic works, 4 Lacquer works, 4 works of silk.
37 graphic works, 9 works of sculptures, and 1 work of decorative ceramics will also be showcased.
An exhibition on fine arts is being held from December 4th to 12th at 81 Tran Quoc Thao street, Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army. The show features 33 exhibits, which were selected from 480 art works by 355 authors nationwide.
The works showcased at the exhibition shows the development of the diverse forms of artistic painting, graphics, sculpture, applied art with materials and different styles of the artists in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and other provinces throughout the country in the period of industrialization and modernization and international integration of the country.
The exhibition will open until the end of December 18.
