Over 300 foreign artists to paint sketches of Hanoi Old Quarter

The event "AsiaLink Sketchwalk Hanoi 2019" hosted by Urban Sketcher Hanoi is slated to take place on October 3-6.

As many as 350 professional and amateur artists from 20 countries will join in an art event to depict the sharpest portraits of Hanoi's Old Quarter.

The event "AsiaLink Sketchwalk Hanoi 2019" hosted by Urban Sketcher Hanoi is slated to take place on October 3-6. It is one of the series of activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (October 10). 

Accordingly, during four consecutive days of holding, the artists will be divided into ten groups to sketch the entire Old Quarter area by turn including Ngoc Son Temple, Ba Kieu Temple, Ly Thai To Statue and Garden, Dong Xuan market, Quan Chuong Gate, among others. 

Under the framework of the event, there will be six workshops gathering six Asian renowned artists in urban sketching from Malaysia, Rusia, Singapore and Indonesia, ten hands-on drawing sessions with artists Arkar Myo, Akri Mark, Supmanee Chai, Khoo Cheang Jin, Binh Chu, Thuy Duong, Dinh Hai as well as three experience-sharing workshops with three artists Pramote K (Thailand), Tia Boon Sim (Singapore), and Khoo Cheang In (Malaysia).
