Photo exhibition pays tribute to revolutionary meritorious persons

The photo exhibition aims to educate the young generation on the tradition of Uong nuoc nho nguon or “When drinking water, think of its source”.

A photo exhibition featuring the care for revolutionary veterans and their families is underway at the Labor Cultural Palace today at the Hanoi Museum.

The photo exhibition, jointly co-organized by the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Kinh te & Do thi (The Economic & Urban) Newspaper, will last until the end of October,

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh, and many other representatives from the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hanoi attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

According to the organizers, the photo exhibition aims to honor the great contributions of heroes, martyrs, wounded soldiers, and those who made merits to the revolution.

At the same time, it also shows the social responsibility of agencies and businesses in Hanoi toward these people.

Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Bach Lien Huong said that the exhibition is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022).

“During the past 75 years, along with other localities, Hanoi has always considered caring for heroes, martyrs, veterans and those who have made merits to Vietnamese revolutions a noble task”, she said.

It features 75 photos, which are divided into three thematic areas including “Gratitude”, “Dedicated Care”, and “Spreading Love”.

The first part of the exhibition - “Gratitude” features photos of leaders of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Hanoi Party Committee, and Hanoi People’s Committee visiting, comforting, and presenting gifts to revolutionary meritorious people during the past years.

The “Dedicated Care” exhibition displays pictures showing the dedicated care of the doctors, nurses and medical staff to those with meritorious services at some healthcare facilities.   

The “Spreading Love” part features the portraits of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and outstanding individuals who are veterans, soldiers, and policemen, among others.
