The photo exhibition will last until December 2, 2020.

The awarding ceremony and exhibition of the Vietnam Photo Expression 2020, themed “Showing Our Care, Sharing Our Vision on Culture Diversity” with the aim of highlighting the beauty of cultural heritage and creativity in Vietnam, will be held on November 25.

The event is jointly hosted by the UNESCO, the German Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam Today Magazine, and TOONG – co-working space provider.
Individuals were invited to submit a maximum of five photos each they have taken in Vietnam in following categories: Landscapes of heritage sites and monuments; Cultural transmission from generation to generation; Arts and Creativity; and Harmony of people and nature.
The applicants were encouraged to take into account the core UN principles of cultural sensitivity and diversity, gender equality, human rights and environment sustainability in taking and selecting photos for submission.
The Awards Ceremony and Exhibition is expected to draw the attendance of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, program specialist and chief culture unit UNESCO Hanoi Office; Dr. Guido Hildner, German Ambassador to Vietnam; and Mr. Nguyen Hung Son, deputy editor-in-chief of the Vietnam Today Magazine.
Winners are entitled to a cash prize of US$1,000 each; consolation prize winners will be awarded VND5 million (US$215) each. The top 15 winners will be presented with certificate of honor. The stories behind the best photos will also be shared at the ceremony.
The winning photos will be exhibited as well as published in relevant UNESCO publications in Vietnam with full credit to the author.
