Phuc Tho District receives Laos' Friendship Order

On August 3, Phuc Tho District solemnly celebrated the 195th establishment anniversary of the district (1822 - 2017), received the Friendship Medal of the Lao People`s Democratic Republic, praising the typical member in the Emulation period of 2012 - 2017.

The ceremony saw the attendance of Politburo Member, Hanoi Party Secretary Hoang Trung Hai, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Van Suu. The Lao People's Democratic Republic is represented by the Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Kongsy Sengmany.

At the ceremony, Phuc Tho District was honored to be awarded the Friendship Medal of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on the 55th establishment anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (September 5, 1962 - 2017) and the 40th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation between the two countries (July 18, 1977 - 2017).

Greeting the people of Phuc Tho District on the occasion of the 195th establishment anniversary of the district, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Kongsy Sengmany Lao touched and said that Phuc Tho District in particular and Hanoi Capital said is a place where we have been raised and provided with learning opportunities for thousands of Lao students. Expressing deep gratitude to the localities, Mr. Kongsy Sengmany said that Laos students to Vietnam considerably increase, about 15,000 people. However, this is an important force in the task of serving the country, keeping the friendship between the two nations, making the Vietnam-Laos friendship everlasting.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hanoi Party Secretary Hoang Trung Hai asked Phuc Tho District to continue promoting its role as an important factor in building, strengthening and fostering the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos. Specifically, we are always caring and providing favorable conditions for the T78 Friendship School to fulfill its mission of teaching and learning, truly becoming a high quality international friendship school.
