PM asks to seriously assess on flood adaptation measures

This request was made by Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Tan Dung on August 5 to leaders of the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh and the National Coal and Mineral Industries Group in the wake of the recent rainstorms and floods in the locality.

During the meeting in Hanoi on August 5, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said authorities in Quang Ninh province and the National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) should devise measures to adapt to increasingly complicated weather patterns.
The Government leader called upon local authorities and Vinacomin to learn from the flood impacts and devise strategies, both short-time and long-term, to protect property and human lives in the future.
