PM honours ten outstanding Vietnamese citizens

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on March 22 awarded the title of most outstanding Vietnamese citizens for 2013 to ten young people.

The selection was jointly-held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund, in order to honour those who have made outstanding achievements in their fields, including academics, scientific research, production, business, national defense, social order, art and sports.

“Those who have been honoured are some of the most outstanding young people in Vietnam and should be further encouraged to foster their abilities and contribute to the nation,” PM Dung commented.

The awardees were selected out of 20, who were previously shortlisted out of 121 entries from 40 cities and provinces nationwide.

They included the likes of 13-year old Nguyen Duong Kim Hao who is a student at secondary school in HCM City. Hao has had a talent for IT since he was a little boy. He has won a number of prizes.
