President Sang receives outgoing Thai ambassador

President Truong Tan Sang has praised outgoing Thai ambassador Panyarak Poolthup`s contributions to promoting friendship between the two countries during his term in Vietnam.

At a reception for the Thai diplomat in Hanoi on December 23, the State leader conveyed his greetings to the King and the royal family of Thailand.

He said he believes two-way trade will reach US$20 billion by 2020.

 
 

Ambassador Poolthup in turn  pledged to continue strengthening relations between Vietnam and Thailand after completing his mission in Vietnam.

He expressed his pleasure to receive the medal “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” granted by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations. 

He conveyed invitations of Thai government leaders to President Truong Tan Sang to visit Thailand in the time to come.
