In 2013, Russian tourist arrivals to Viet Nam numbered 250,000, ranking first in tourist arrivals in the country for the second consecutive year.


This is the second continual year Russia has the biggest number of visitors to Viet Nam.
Since 2009, Viet Nam has allowed Russian visitors to enter Viet Nam without visa for 15 days. In 2013, the competent authorities of the two countries started to study the possible extension of the visa- free stay to 30 days.
Viet Nam-Russia air services have grown strongly, with the opening of new direct flights.
At present 29 cities in Russia proposed the opening of direct flights to Viet Nam. Russian tourist arrivals to Viet Nam is expected to reach 300,000 in 2014.
