Science and Technology Week held in Da Nang

Science and technology have been considered a leading driver of the country’s socio-economic development, said Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Khanh at the National Science and Technology Week in Da Nang on May 8.

The three-day event offered an excellent opportunity to disseminate new policies on science and technology, introduce new advancements at home and abroad and raise public awareness about the pivotal role of science and technology in the country’s progress and development, said Khanh.

It also encouraged people’s enthusiasm for science, aiming to develop highly qualified human resources and meet the requirements of the country’s modernisation and industrialisation process, Khanh added.

Throughout the week, the Ministry of Science and Technology will co-ordinate with Danang University, the provincial Department of Science and Technology to showcase several achievements in scientific research, organise an exchange with students and hold an international seminar on communications, science and technology.
