Shock for one, fortune for other
After this election, America is more divided than before, politically and socially.
It was again midterm time in America. It was the GOP’s hope, expectation, and firm belief that America would indeed be overrun by the so-called Red Wave across this country which implied a land like a victory for the GOP in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, meaning that this party could come from now on control the US congress so that it could make US president Joe Biden's last half of his first president's tenure to a painful journey to the hell. It would be the ambiance the former Republican president Donald Trump was eager to have to announce his intention to run again for the White House in 2024. A Red Wave would cement his leading position and deciding influences in the Republican Party.

But the midterm results, even the ballots counting process has not yet finished, were a big shock and disaster for the GOP and its present draught horse Donald Trump: the Democrats secured their majority in the Senate, and the Republicans, in their best scenario will have only a very slim majority in the House of Representatives. The Democratic Party and Joe Biden had beaten this year's midterm much better and more successfully than all predictions before the elections, while it was truly catastrophic for the GOP and Donald Trump. This was the biggest irony of the recent midterm, and this irony will be fateful for America in the coming times. Another irony was that the Democrats and Joe Biden could prove themselves as winners when they didn't lose big, while the Republicans and Donald Trump were considered big losers when they didn't win big.
The midterm results do not deliver a comfortable Rest-presidency to Joe Biden but will keep good chances for him to run again for the White House in 2024 if he wants and for the Democratic Party to counter-balance the GOP in Congress. These results mirrored the desolate state of the GOP en key personnel as well as en party politics. The GOP paid painful and fateful prices for being dependent on Donald Trump and his right-populist ideology. The midterm outcomes marked the rapidly ongoing demystification of Donald Trump personally in the Republican Party and America. It was for the Republican Party a disillusionment and for Donald Trump, a disenchantment finally to realize, whether they all wanted it or not, that Donald Trump now has only a very small chance to win the next presidential election in America against whoever would be nominated as presidential candidate by the Democratic Party.
After this election, America is more divided than before, politically and socially. It isn't politically paralyzed, but moving forward will be very difficult. And elections campaigns will start very soon for all 2024 elections.
