Smithsonian chooses four photos from Vietnam among world's best
Smithsonian.com shared the results of their annual photo contest this week, showcasing winning images taken from entries through categories such as Travel, People, and the Natural World.
The magazine has named the finalists in its 15th Annual Photo Contest. Among those artworks, four photos shoot in Vietnam, of which three photos taken by Vietnamese photographers and one by foreign photographer.
This year's competition received 48,000 submissions from photographers in 155 countries and territories. The judges have chosen ten finalists in each of the six categories: Natural World, The American Experience, Travel, People, Altered Images and Mobile.

Travel finalist: Tran Tuan Viet – Making Incense. "Decoratively dyed bundles of incense dry in Quang Phu Cau, a commune in Hanoi, Vietnam. In Buddhist countries like Vietnam, incense is an irreplaceable part of traditional festivals and religious ceremonies."
