Stabilizing comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and China
The Party and State of Vietnam want to strengthen cooperation and maintain healthy and stable relations with China, a senior Politburo member of the Communist Party of Vietnam has said.
Le Hong Anh, who is also permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) Secretariat, was speaking at a meeting in Beijing on August 26 with Wang Jiarui, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
It is necessary to strengthen cooperation and maintain healthy relations between the two countries, given global complications and recent tensions in the East Sea which affect ties between the two parties and countries, as well as security, peace and stability in the region, Anh said.
He told Wang, who is also head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee (CPCCC), his visit is to discuss with Chinese leaders measures to boost healthy, stable and long lasting relations between the two Parties and countries, meeting their peoples’ aspirations and interests.
Anh highly valued the recent effective and close cooperation between the CPVCC Commission for External Relations and the CPCCC International Liaison Department, particularly in realising high-level agreements and exchange and cooperation programmes between the two parties and peoples.
Such cooperation has deepened the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership, making a positive contribution to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the rest of the world, he said.
