Start selling train ticket online for upcoming 2018 Tet holiday

Customers can now buy train ticket online, through ticket center, messaging to get the number to buy ticket easily in first days of selling train tickets for the upcoming Tet holiday.

On October 15, the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) will sell train tickets for the upcoming 2018 Tet holiday (Lunar New Year). The tickets for trains, scheduled to run between during the period of 2018 Tet holiday, can be purchased online at www.dsvn.vn, vietnamrailway.vn and vetau.com.vn, or at the train stations of the concerned railway sector easily and comfortably. In the morning of the first day selling train tickets, approx. 50,000 train tickets have been purchased online and 3,000 train tickets issued.

Representatives of the FPT Technology Solution Co., Ltd said, the ticket purchasing system through website www.dsvn.vn is upgraded to ensure smooth operation for customers to access and buy ticket easily. Director of Vietnam Railway Corporation in Ho Chi Minh said, passengers should focus on accessing the website www.dsvn.vn. After successfully booking the ticket, passenger should not go immediately to the station to get the ticket, which can be crowded and time consuming, while the system can record the ticket booking validity for 72 hours. Previously, the VNR has officially announced the selling plan for train ticket during the 2018 Tet holiday since October 15. As such, on the North – South railway route, the VNR will run 15 pairs of Thong Nhat trains. Specifically, 10 pairs of Thong Nha trains on the route Hanoi – Saigon and opposite route (SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE13/SE14, SE9/SE10, TN5/TN6, SE29/SE30, TN3/TN4, TN7/TN8). One pair of train on the route Đa Nang - Saigon and opposite route (SE21/SE22); One pair of train on the route Thanh Hoa - Saigon and opposite route (SE23/SE24); Two pairs of train on the route Hanoi - Vinh and opposite route (SE11/SE12, SE15/SE16); One pair of train on the route Dong Hoi - Saigon and opposite route (SE17/SE18).

On the other hand, there will be 24 pairs of train on routes Saigon-Quang Ngai, Saigon-Quy Nhon, Saigon-Nha Trang, Saigon-Phan Thiet, Hanoi-Lao Cai, Hanoi-Vinh, Hanoi-Hai Phong. In addition, during the Tet holiday, VNR will run 9 additional pairs of train on routes Saigon-Tam Ky, Saigon-Hue, Saigon-Đa Nang, Saigon-Dieu Tri and Saigon-Nha Trang. If there is an significant rise in the number of passengers, VNR will add more trains to operate in this period.

Since 8.00 am on October 15, individuals and organizations want to buy train tickets can go to the website www.dsvn.vn, or at ticket center and station. In order for passenger to be convenient when buying train ticket, VNR said passenger only need an original version of the identification with the same information in the ticket when on board. VNR also warned that passenger should not buy ticket from brokers or in the black market, which is to prevent the situation of buying fake ticket or invalid ticket. During the time of selling train ticket for 2018 Tet holiday, the number of passenger go to Saigon Station to buy ticket will be large, so passenger should book ticket beforehand at the website www.dsvn.vn and pay for the ticket online, or at transaction point of the VIB bank, or Vietnam post office and authorized ticket centers of VNR.
