Strengthening Vietnam - France cooperation relations in various fields

Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi met with National Secretary of the French Communist Party (PCF) Pierre Laurent during his working visit to Vietnam in Hanoi on October 27.

At the reception, National Secretary of the PCF Pierre Laurent expressed his pleasure to return Vietnam and witness positive developments in the relations between the two countries, which were elevated to strategic partnership in 2013.

The French official highly valued the special relationship between the French Communist Party and the Vietnamese Communist Party, while emphasizing to boost bilateral practical cooperation, especially between the two parties in the context of the current world situation.
National Secretary Pierre Laurent affirmed that the French Party and people attaches great importance to friendly and comprehensive cooperation relations with Vietnam.
Pierre Laurent confirmed that the PCF always supports the Vietnamese Party, State and people in their national construction and defence in the past and at present.
He hoped that Vietnamese Party, State and people continue to foster and develop comprehensive cooperation relationship with France in order to reach the most positive achievements in the coming time.
During the meeting, Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi highlighted the relations between the Vietnamese and French communist parties as an important channel to bring the countries’ comprehensive cooperation to the next level.
The Hanoi Party Secretary congratulated the achievements that the French people have achieved in the national development, affirming that the Vietnamese Party, State and people always treasure the comprehensive development cooperation relations with the French Party and People.
Secretary Nghi informed with Secretary Pierre Laurent the Hanoi's achievements in the fields of socio-economic development, diplomatic and foreign relations in the past years.
He welcomed French cooperation initiatives in the fields of economics, trade, investment, tourism, environment, climate change adaptation, and heritage preservation.
The municipal Party Secretary believed this French visit to Vietnam will achieve good results.
