On Sep 8, Hanoi’s Tourism Department welcomed the Sweden Famtrip to Hanoi.
Lying in Master plan No42/KH-UBND of Hanoi’s People Committee on tourism development for the capital city, the famtrip offers Sweden travel companies to examine Hanoi potentials to create suitable tourism products and fuels new cooperation with Hanoi’s tourist enterprises.
The famtrip group includes representatives of EMIRATES Airlines and several Sweden travel companies.
Speaking at the welcome ceremony, Mr Tran Duc Hai – Director of Hanoi’s Tourism Department introduced some typical tourism potentials and products of Hanoi to the international companies. Specifically, with more than 1000 years, Hanoi is known as a tourist hub with diversifying cultural beauties and tourism destinations. That includes nearly 6.000 historical – cultural sites, especially 3 tangible and intangible heritages recognized by UNESCO as world heritages; 1350 craft villages, among those are 47 traditional crafts; some of 130 museums listed as leading ones in Asia region. With those potentials, Hanoi is the host to 806 international travel companies, 3081 tourist accommodation (including many five-star hotels of famous brand such as JW Marriot, Hilton, Metropole…). International airport Noi Bai – Hanoi offers direct flight routes to more than 40 countries. In 2016, the city welcomed more than 4 billion international arrivals, among those, arrival number from Sweden stands at 15.919, up by 29% over period of 2015.
Besides, Director Hai also affirmed the hope that, via the famtrip, Sweden travel companies, EMIRATES Airlines as well as Hanoi tourist enterprises and media agencies would base on reality demand, potential and market capacity to seek and promote cooperation for Hanoi’s tourism. “As for Hanoi’s Tourism Department, it’s certain that we will associate with and facilitate international companies for further collaboration in Hanoi”, Hai pressed.
Paying respect to the warm welcome of Hanoi authority, Sweden famtrip group finds Hanoi tourism potentials impressive so much and they asserted that, via the survey trip they would promptly bring more visitors to Hanoi – a wonderful city.
