US intensifies efforts in addressing war legacies

US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink believes that efforts from both sides to solve war legacies could help build trust among the two countries.
The US is committed to supporting Vietnam in dealing with war legacies, boosting economic and trade ties and cooperation in education, healthcare, science-technology, etc.
"We all have a responsibility to continue building the ties of trust and friendship that ground our relationship, from security cooperation and health to business and people-to-people ties," says US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink.
The latest effort will enable Vietnam to find and identify more than 200,000 Vietnamese combatants missing in action.
The project shows the two former war foes' efforts to address war legacies.
