The plant is expected to begin operations in 2024 and will incinerate 500 tons of municipal and industrial solid waste every day.
Hanoi currently discharges around 6,000 tons of solid domestic waste daily, 89% of which are buried.
When the waste-to-energy plant is in service, it is expected to reduce waste pollution that affects the lives of locals.
The plant will have a processing capacity of 4,000 tons of waste per day and can help treat litter in many urban districts.
