Territorial website draws 14 million hits in two months

The Hanoi Times - A government-run website o­n Vietnam's territorial borders attracted up to 14 million hits in less than two months after its debut, a government official announced o­n Tuesday.

The Hanoi Times - A government-run website o­n Vietnam's territorial borders attracted up to 14 million hits in less than two months after its debut, a government official announced o­n Tuesday.

The website at was launched o­n December 3 last year by the National Border Committee (NBC) under Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NBC representative Vu Ngoc Minh said at a conference to introduce the website o­nMonday in Hanoi.

It features ten main categories of information o­n Vietnam's territorial borders, including news, related events, legal documents, historical data, maps, international law, a photo library, useful information and a column for researchers.

The site is considered an official channel to reflect the country's views, policies and information of territorial land and waters areas, according to the ministry.

Other information o­n natural conditions and environment in the East Sea is also available o­n the website.
