TH Group inaugurates large-scale dairy processing plant in Russia

Ventures like the TH Group are accelerating the development of the dairy farming in the Kaluga Oblast of Russia.

THE HANOI TIMES — Vietnamese dairy producer TH Group has opened in Borovsk District, Kaluga Oblast, Russia its fresh milk processing plant with an initial capacity of 500 tons and the double volume by 2026.

The inauguration ceremony took place on May 11 during the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum in Moscow as part of Party General Secretary To Lam’s official visit to Russia.

The plant sources all of its raw materials from the TH Group's state-of-the-art dairy farms in the Moscow and Kaluga oblasts.

At the event, Thai Huong, Founder and Chairwoman of the Strategy Council at TH Group, said the project marked a milestone in the company’s clean agriculture strategy, setting a new direction for global investment cooperation between Vietnam and its international partners.

Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha expressed pride in hosting TH Group’s large-scale international investment project, noting that ventures like it are accelerating the development of the dairy farming sector in the oblast.

He said that Kaluga now leads Russia in milk production growth and is making a significant contribution to the country’s food security. The governor pledged favorable conditions for investors in the region.

In addition to fresh milk, the plant produces traditional Russian dairy products, including sour cream (smetana), drinking yogurt, kefir, butter, cheese, ice cream, and health beverages.

TH true MILK products manufactured in Russia will either be sold domestically or exported to BRICS countries and the Asia-Pacific region.

TH Group operates a high-tech dairy farm cluster in Vietnam, with nearly 70,000 cows, and holds a 51.9% share of the urban retail fresh milk market. The company's producrs are present in 12 countries, including Russia and Australia.
