The Thai Embassy in Hanoi hosted a banquet in Hanoi on January 16 to celebrate the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day (January 18, 1852).

Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, said the relations between the two armies are developing well, especially since the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on defence cooperation in September 2012.
He expressed his belief that the bilateral coordination will see new developments for the interests of the two nations and for peace and prosperity in the region and the world.
