On the evening of December 20th, 2017, at Sen Tay Ho Restaurant, “The 9th Latin Music night” was held under the cooperation of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO), the Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association and Latin American Embassies in Vietnam.

Attending the event, more than 200 delegates, including: leaders from Central and Hanoi, members of Friendship Associations of Vietnam and Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela…; Vietnamese people who studied and worked in Latin American countries; Ambassadors, Spouses, diplomatic officials and international friends from Latin American countries and other countries.
The purpose of this event is to popularize the cultural characteristics of Latin American countries as well as strengthen the friendship and solidarity relations between Vietnam and these countries and promote the people’s diplomacy work of Hanoi City. This event was able to introduce special cultural characteristics of Latin American countries to Vietnamese and international friends through fascinating songs and dance which created a very friendly, warm and impressive night. Speaking at this event, Mrs Nguyen Lan Huong, President of HAUFO said: "In many years, Vietnam has always received great support from Latin American countries and governments. The 9th Latin Gala is such a great opportunity for the people of Vietnam and Hanoi to show our solidarity to both Latin American and international friends."
On behalf of international friends, Mr. Jorge Rondon Uzcategui, Ambassador of Venezuela to Vietnam, expressed his thanks to HAUFO and other cooperation units for hosting this practical and fabulous event. He hopes the event will continue to be held annually and develop broadly in the upcoming years.
