Hanoi's Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association boosts cultural exchange
The event is an opportunity to review the effectiveness of activities to promote Vietnam-Thailand friendship over the past year, while enhancing cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
The Hanoi's Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association held an evaluation conference on its tasks and cultural exchange program in Dan Phuong District, Hanoi City on December 22.
Delegates at the conference reviewed the fulfillment of the association's tasks over the past year and rewarded individuals and organizations that have achieved outstanding results in promoting exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand.

In 2023, under the leadership of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, the city's Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association focused on promoting communication on foreign affairs, peace and friendship activities, and other important political events of the two countries. In addition, to improve the efficiency of its tasks, the association has built a website with many in-depth cultural stories.

For the coming year, the association pledges to strengthen cooperation with the press to disseminate historical and cultural values to the people of each country. In addition, it will further enhance cultural and artistic exchange activities.

In addition, the organizers hope to bring the characteristics and traditions of the two countries to the people through unique musical performances with strong national characteristics, thereby promoting the spirit of cultural learning and exchange.
Speaking at the conference, Tran Duc Hai, Chairman of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association in Hanoi, highlighted the impressive progress in the traditional relationship between Vietnam and Thailand.
Given the current challenges and fluctuations in the world and the region, he stressed the need for Vietnam and Thailand to strengthen cooperation in many fields, especially culture and tourism.

Deputy Chief of Mission of Thailand to Vietnam Morakot Janemathukorn told The Hanoi Times about the importance of promoting cultural exchange between the two countries. "The Thai Embassy, Consulate and stakeholders always support and create conditions for such activities."
She said that the Thai Embassy will discuss more with Hanoi about next year's plans, which are expected to be approved in early 2024.
