Various activities nationwide to celebrate the 71st National Day

Numerous art performances and activities to mark the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2) are being organised throughout the country.

An array of activities are taking place across the nation to celebrate the upcoming 71st National Day (September 2). 
Hanoi's Department of Culture and Sports will organise a series of cultural, arts and sports programmes to mark the 71st anniversary of the National Day (September 2).

On September 2, the art performances will take place in the August Revolution Square, Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square, My Dinh National Stadium, and centers of districts and towns in the city.
In addition, Hanoi city also hold some talkings about the topic of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2), and a bicycle race around Hoan Kiem lake on August 28.
The Ho Chi Minh Youth Union will hold the 4th Congress of young role models in following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings in Hanoi from August 28-29. 
According to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, 445 delegates will attend the Congress themed “I love my nation”. 
During the Congress, participants will offer incense at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, meet with National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and plant trees. 
Art shows will take place at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam Drama Theatre and the Vietnam Cheo Theatre from August 30 to September 1, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said on August 22. 
HCM City plans to organise various activities to mark the upcoming National Day (September 2).
On September 2, municipal officials are scheduled to offered incense and wreaths to late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - HCM City branch, the Ton Duc Thang Museum, and the Ho Chi Minh President Memorial Park.
Firework shows will be conducted in the Sai Gon river’s tunnel in District 2 and the Dam Sen Park in District 11, funded by donations.
Many art performances will also take place across the city.
A photo exhibition featuring the nation’s revolutionary struggle and achievements will be organised along the streets of Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi beginning on August 31.
Several sport games will be organised to celebrate the anniversaries, including a bicycle race around the city on September 2 and a table tennis competition from August 25-27.
