A Vietnam-Laos amateur art programme was held in Vientiane on May 19 to celebrate the 126th birthday of Vietnam’s late President Ho Chi Minh.
Attending the event were Lao Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Savankhon Razmontry, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung, representatives from both Vietnamese and Lao offices, and the Vietnamese community in Laos.
Speaking at the event, Hoang Xuan Hai from the Vietnamese Embassy, hailed the significance of the programme in boosting solidarity between the Vietnamese community and Laotians in Vientiane.
The twenty-one performances praised late President Ho Chi Minh, the beauty of the Vietnamese land and people and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
They also helped mutual understanding and educated both Vietnamese and Lao people on the countries’ relations.
