Vietconstech 2012 exhibition opens in Hanoi

An international exhibition of construction technology, Vietconstech 2012, is running at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi from June 27-29.

The Hanoitimes - An international exhibition of construction technology, Vietconstech 2012, is running at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi from June 27-29.

Co-organized by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Science and Technology for the first time, the exhibition has 168 stands from 80 leading domestic and foreign enterprises working in the fields of civil engineering and industrial construction, waterway and aviation transport.

The exhibition features presentations by the International Nuclear Energy Development of Japan Co. (JINED) and the Shimizu Group, Japan, o­n new construction technologies and solutions to ensure safety for atomic power plants and metro systems.

Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung said that Vietconstech 2012 is an opportunity for enterprises to introduce their products and technologies, as well as boosting trade cooperation.

Under the Ministry’s instruction, the State Authority for Construction Quality Inspection (SACQI) will be responsible for co-ordinating with the Construction Information Center and Construction Newspaper.

Many big domestic and foreign groups and corporations have registered to take part in the event, such as the Russian-Vietnamese oil and gas joint venture Vietsovpetro, Sumitomo (Japan), Bureau Veritas (France), Bauer (Germany), Pure Projects (Australia).

The exhibition is expected to have 200 stalls put up by about 150 businesses. Two seminars will be held to introduce new construction technologies and advanced technical solutions to improve the efficiency of investment in the construction sector.
