In 2017, SkyTrax has recognized Vietnam Airlines as a 4-star airline for 2 consecutive years. The company's fleet marked the second year of the successful operation of the new generation of wide-body airplanes - Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9. In October 2017, Vietnam Airlines entered into a joint venture agreement with Air France, providing both companies’ passengers with travel options to 21 destinations in Vietnam and 50 destinations in Europe, included among which are Madrid and Barcelona – the two famous cities in Spain.
Currently, passengers can buy Vietnam Airlines tickets to fly between Vietnam and Spain via popular transit points such as Paris (France), Frankfurt (Germany) and London (England). In particular, Vietnam Airlines carries passengers between Vietnam and Paris, Frankfurt, London, meanwhile, the airlines cooperating with Vietnam Airlines (such as Air France, Air Europa, British Airways) operate between these transit points and Spain.
In parallel with the promotion of products, Vietnam Airlines has broadly communicated to international customers images of Vietnam – a beautiful country and charming people – as well as various useful information about Vietnam tourism. Visitors also had the opportunity to learn about the policy of visa exemption for citizens of European countries when traveling to Vietnam for tourism purpose.
FITUR tourism fair was first held in 1980, attracting organizations and businesses worldwide to introduce tour destinations, products and services. The fair is also an occasion for businesses to gather together, exchange business opportunities and discuss emerging tour trends in the world. Last year, FITUR recorded the attendance of nearly 10,000 businesses from 165 countries, territories and more than 100,000 visitors.
By participating in the fair, Vietnam Airlines wishes not only to promote its products and services, but also to bring images of Vietnam and Vietnamese people closer to the European customers in general and Spanish customers in particular, contributing to the development of tourism in Vietnam.
