Vietnam Airlines launches “Welcome Summer” promotions

National Flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will launch special promotions from March 15 to 28 to Welcome Summer 2018.

Under Vietnam Airlines’ programme, one-way tickets for domestic flights go for VND299,000 (US$13), while return tickets for international flights are being sold at VND899,000 (US$39). Promotion prices are open to passengers who depart from April 1 to October 31. Tickets can be booked via or Vietnam Airlines’ facebook site .
Last year, the “Welcome Summer” promotions of Vietnam Airlines offered 4,700 additional flights on domestic routes until August 20 to meet increased travel demands during the summer holidays.
In addition, Vietnam Airlines has improved the quality of services to prepare for this Summer. Accordingly, the airline offers new snacks for Economy Class passengers on domestic and short international routes from early March 2018. Vietnam Airlines’ snacks include a variety of options: sweet rice cake, honey rice cake, butter cake, green tea/chocolate milk cake, tomato breadsticks, dairy cakes, and roasted peanuts.
Vietnam Airlines has also announced launching a new route to Seoul, South Korea from Nha Trang that will run four times a week. As scheduled, from March 25, the airline will launch four round-trip flights on this route. The new flights to Seoul will depart at 9:35 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, while the return flights will leave at 6:20 am on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Vietnam Airlines announced its estimated 2017 revenue at VND88,400 billion (US$3.8 billion), some 23.5% increase year-on-year. Consequently, the airliner’s pre-tax profit is reported at VND2,800 billion (US$123 million), some 8.3% increase against 2016, said the company in a statement released today.
