This will help increase the airline’s total flights from Vietnam to Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Four-star Airbus A321 planes will be used for all of these flights. Vietnam Airlines was recognised as a 4-star airline for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017 by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It targets a 13% increase in revenue and an 8.3% rise in passenger volume in 2018. Apart from Asia, the airline is also seeking to expand its markets in Europe.
Nha Trang is a coastal city and the capital of Khanh Hoa Province on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is bordered by Ninh Hoa district on the north, Cam Ranh town on the south, and Dien Khanh district on the west. The city has about 392,000 inhabitants, a number that is projected to increase to 560,000 by 2015 and 630,000 inhabitants by 2025.
Meanwhile, Seoul’s Incheon International Airport is one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. The airport has been ranked as the Best Airport Worldwide for 11 consecutive years by the Airports Council International (ACI)'s Airport Service Quality Award from 2005 to 2016.
South Korea was Vietnam’s second biggest source of tourism, but posted the highest growth rate of 55.3% on-year. Vietnam attracted nearly 2.2 million Koreans in the year to the end of November 2017, according to the General Statistics Office.
