Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier, has officially used the state-of-the-art aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for flights from Vietnam to Germany.
Vietnam Airlines’ office in Germany organised an event on October 26 that gave customers a chance to tour and experience the aircraft at Frankfurt am Main airport in Frankfurt city.
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is the latest version of the Boeing 787 genre that is able to carry more passengers on a longer distance. The advanced technology applied on board helps save 20 percent of the fuel required and reduces 20 percent of emissions compared to contemporary models.

Vietnam Airlines is also operating the Airbus A350-900 XWB plane on flights from Hanoi to Paris and Seoul.
Between now and 2019, the national flag carrier sets to replace all of its 33 wide-body planes to shift its focus to long-distance and transcontinental routes.
