The forum is expected to attract 3,000 people to attend the in-person forum and over 10,000 others participating in the online form.

Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA), the organizer of the event, said the theme of the Vietnam high-level forum is also the celebration slogan of the 20th founding anniversary of the association. The forum is expected to contribute directly to the realization of tasks and goals set by the National Committee on Digital Transformation.

The regional scale forum features 22 discussion sessions and an in-depth seminar for digital transformation experiences and solutions exchange among organizations and businesses from Taiwan (China), Japan, Singapore, and South Korea, among others.

A highlight of this year's forum is training programs for small and medium-sized businesses, and manufacturing enterprises, leaders of companies and organizations.

Under the theme “Developing digital businesses”, five specialized seminars will be held on the cloud platform and data infrastructure for digital enterprises, human resources for digital businesses, digital startup development, digital transformation for small and medium enterprises, and digital transformation for manufacturing enterprises.

The goal is to contribute to promoting the development of digital businesses with the expectation of creating a pioneering force that helps speed up the digital transformation process.

Within the framework of the forum, there is also an exhibition introducing excellent digital transformation platforms and solutions, a dialogue, and other activities related to digital transformation cooperation.

“Our expectation is to gather many resources from the public and private sector, international organizations, entrepreneurs, and information technology experts to accelerate digital transformation,” Khoa said.

He added digital businesses need to cooperate and clearly define roles to create comprehensive digital ecosystems suitable for organizations and businesses.

In 2021, the VINASA completed the Transformation Guidelines Framework for small and medium-sized enterprises in 26 industries and fields and for industrial manufacturers. The association has also cooperated with localities to train and disseminate frameworks for digital transformation.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, 2022 will be the year of accelerating digital transformation so it would become a driving force for economic development. Currently, over 95% of localities have issued resolutions, plans or programs on digital transformation.
