Vietnam attends int’l telecoms conference

The Hanoitimes -  A Vietnamese delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang, attended the 18th conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in the Mexican city of Guadalajara o­n October 4.

The Hanoitimes -  A Vietnamese delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang, attended the 18th conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in the Mexican city of Guadalajara o­n October 4.

The three-week conference, which attracted more than 2,000 delegates from 192 countries and territories around the world, focused o­n international issues such as telecommunications security and a development strategy to 2015 to help more countries access broadband and other hi-tech services.

The conference of the ITU, which has 47 member countries, is held every four years.
