Minister - Head of Vietnam’s Government Office Mai Tien Dung emphasized Vietnam’s need for more support from the World Bank in building the infrastructure, improving capacity and developing e-government, the government portal reported.

Thanks to the WB’s support in building e-government, Vietnam launched the National E-Document Exchange Platform that helps substitute paper documents into e-documents. As a result, e-documents exchange is carried out quickly and safely from the central government to other ministries or agencies and vice-versa. The Government Office is going to build a paperless office and proceed toward a paperless government, Dung said.
The minister also emphasized that Vietnam desires the WB to continue being a companion of Vietnamese agencies to achieve development goals and to support the Government Office in building e-government.
From her side, Kwakwa expressed her impression of the economic development in Vietnam and stated that the WB was willing to maintain companionship with Vietnam. She also valued a number of recent studies that confirm the increasing belief of international businesses in the potential of Vietnam.
