Vietnam`s Green Heritage Culture and Tourism Week kicked off on Tuesday, highlighting the country`s world heritage sites and traditional arts.
Major activities during the week include exhibitions and displays relating to Vietnam's natural heritages recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization such as Ha Long Bay in northern Quang Ninh province and Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park in central Quang Binh province, collective picture drawing, and Vietnamese gastronomy introduction.
The week, which will wrap up on Nov. 23 (Vietnam's Culture Heritage Day), is also featuring performances of "ca tru"- ceremonial singing, "cheo"- traditional operetta, "chau van" - spiritual singing and "don ca tai tu" - southern instrumental music and singing.
The week is held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts in coordination with the departments of culture, sports and tourism of 15 cities and provinces across the country.
