Vietnam keen to share IT experience with RoK

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has hailed the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s strong information and technology (IT) development and voiced Vietnam’s wish to share its IT experience.

Dam told the visiting Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee of the Republic of Korea’s National Assembly, Ahn Hoong Joon at a  reception in Hanoi on January 11.

The Deputy PM expressed his satisfaction with the strong development of Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership across various fields, particularly in trade and investment.

He also praised the recent cooperation between the two legislative bodies, based on high-level delegation exchange and the sharing of experience.

The Vietnamese Government always welcomes initiatives proposed by the Korean government and businesses and is willing to create the best possible conditions for long-term Korean investments in Vietnam, Dam said.

He also thanked the Korean National Assembly for its positive support in protecting Vietnamese citizens living in the RoK.

In reply, Joon valued the Vietnamese community’s contributions to his nation’s current socio-economic development. He suggested broader cooperation in education and IT development, stating that they are the areas with the optimum potential for cooperation with Vietnam.
