There are now several high-end hideaways here for some real R&R: the year-old Anam is a Indochine-inspired beachfront spot—book a villa with a private pool—while Fusion Cam Ranh describes itself as a spa-all inclusive, where the rate includes at least two treatments per day for every guest.
A brand new, top-tier golf course KN Golf Links, masterplanned by Greg Norman, doesn’t open officially until later in the year but is allowing some trial play from May. Plus, Cam Ranh’s international airport unveils a brand new international terminal, aimed at more easily connecting overseas visitors, this month.
Other best experiences in the region that are named on the list are Paris, France, Sicily and Puglia, Southern Italy. In Sicily’s historic towns—Syracuse, Noto, Taormina—you can get happily lost in millennia-old narrow streets that seem to go on forever, opening up into plazas built around Baroque cathedrals.
The number of foreign arrivals to Nha Trang city until the end of November, 2017 has increased by over 170% to 1.8 million people against the same period last year, according to the south central Khanh Hoa province’s Department of Tourism.
Meanwhile, Da Nang welcomed more than 6.6 million visitors, including 2.3 million foreign ones in 2017, up 39% and 4.3 million domestic ones, up 11.2%. The central city earned over VND19.4 trillion (US$853.96 million) in revenue, an increase of 20.6% from 2016, according to Da Nang Department of Tourism.
