The four-member K-pop girl band Blackpink arrived in Hanoi on the evening of July 28 in preparation for their two-night concerts at the My Dinh National Stadium on July 29 and 30. Hanoi is the final leg of Blackpink's Born Pink global tour in Asia.
Vietnam welcomes more than one million international visitors in July
Vietnam welcomed more than one million international visitors in July, up 6.5% month-on-month, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam has received nearly 6.6 million international visitors, reaching 83% of the annual target.
South Korea remained the largest source market in the first seven months of 2023, with nearly 1.9 million visitors (nearly one-third of the total). China and the United States ranked second and third, respectively.

Summer Festival 2023 will be held from July 28 to August 1 in the beach city of Danang, with a series of activities and programs to stimulate tourism and provide more exciting experiences for visitors to the beach city. The festival is one of the special stimulus themes for this year's tourism season.
VinFast to be listed in the US next month
The US Securities and Exchange Commission had approved VinFast's registration statement for its business combination with Black Spade, according to an announcement by Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast and Black Spade released on July 28.
The special meeting of shareholders to approve the merger is scheduled for August 10. The closing and listing of VinFast are expected in August 2023, pending shareholder approval and customary conditions.
World's largest debate competition in Vietnam crowns champion
The 2023 World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC), hosted by Vietnam for the first time, concluded after seven days of competition, with the championship awarded to the US team. The tournament brought together nearly 400 outstanding high school students from 65 countries and territories.
Vietnam WSDC 2023, organized by the Vietnam Association for Debating and Public Speaking (VADP) and VinUniversity, is a forum for sharing knowledge and connecting debate enthusiasts around the world.
Bac Lieu plans to become a strong coastal economy
A draft master plan for Bac Lieu sets a goal for the southern province to become a strong coastal economy by 2030 based on the development of clean energy production centers, shrimp seedling production facilities, and the production, processing, and export of commercial shrimp in the Mekong Delta and the country.
This is the content of the review meeting of Bac Lieu Provincial Planning for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, chaired by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong on July 28.
