Vietnam promotes culinary culture and business opportunities in Israel
The Embassy of Vietnam, in cooperation with the Foreign Ambassadors Club in Israel, held an event on August 29 to promote Vietnam'sculinary culture and business opportunities.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung gave an overview of Vietnam's culinary culture and business environment. Highlighting Vietnam's investment promotion policies, Trung invited Israeli and international investors to explore business opportunities in the Southeast Asian country.
A screening of documentaries on Vietnam's history of national construction and defense, natural landscapes, current socio-economic development and foreign affairs was also featured.
Museum offers free admission on National Day

The Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum in Dien Bien Phu City will offer free admission to all historical sites on September 2 and 3 to celebrate National Day (September 2). The museum highlights Vietnam's resistance to French colonialism and features the panoramic painting of the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, offering an impressive view of this decisive victory that "shook the world."
Vietnam’s 79th National Day celebrated in Thailand
The Embassy of Vietnam in Thailand held a ceremony on August 29 to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2). The event was attended by President of the Thai Senate Mongkol Surasatja, Governor of Bangkok Chadchart Sittipunt, and Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand (BOT) Sanan Angubokuk.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung emphasized the close cooperation between the two countries in many fields after 48 years of establishing diplomatic relations, especially in trade and investment. Thailand remains Vietnam's largest trading partner within ASEAN and the ninth largest foreign investor with total investment of about US$14 billion.
Art competition promotes cultural heritage with hefty prizes
Running from September 2024 to November 2025, the "Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Through Painting" competition encourages young artists and students to explore and express cultural heritage through various art forms. The total prize pool is VND975 million (US$40,000), with 30 prizes, including a grand prize of VND100 million (US$4,100). The competition will culminate in an exhibition and award ceremony on November 23, 2025.
Vietnam, India strengthen tourism development cooperation
A conference was held in Vietnam's Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on August 29 to help local tourism businesses learn more about halal tourism industry standards and connect with Indian tour operators.
The tourism industry plays an important role in the exchange of values between the two countries. At the conference, six companies from both sides agreed to sign cooperation agreements to increase the effectiveness of tourism promotion activities between Lam Dong and India.
Traditional martial arts championships award 256 prizes
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Soc Trang held the closing ceremony of the 2024 Soc Trang Traditional Martial Arts and Vovinam Championships on August 29, awarding 256 prizes. The event, which celebrated the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945) and National Day (September 2, 1945), saw nearly 200 athletes compete in 25 weight categories and 17 performance events. The championships aimed to promote traditional martial arts and encourage physical training among the youth.
Art tourism map of Da Lat City makes debut
An art tourism map of Da Lat, a resort city in Vietnam's Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, was launched on August 29.

It features typical historical, cultural and artistic destinations of Da Lat; stories about history, culture and creativity told by artists; contributing to sustainable tourism and arts development in this Creative City of Music.
Children's MV blends modern rap with traditional patriotism
Released on September 2, the children's music video "Em be Viet Nam" presents a new perspective on patriotic music. Songs such as "Ai yeu Bac Ho Chi Minh hon thieu nien nhi dong" and "Dong mau lac hong" are performed by young rapper Xe Xe and other children. The music video inspires pride in the country and teaches young viewers about their heritage through a fusion of traditional sounds and contemporary rap.
Vietnam and Singapore promote cooperation in renewable energy
On August 28, a new move was made between Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) and Sembcorp Utilities Pte Ltd with results for wind and hydrological measurements and geological surveys under the Offshore Renewable Energy Export Project between the two countries.
This project aims to export renewable energy to Singapore.
