Viettel unveils 5G chipset at 2024 World Mobile Congress

Viettel, Vietnam's military-run telecommunications group, introduced its 5G chipset and Vi An - Al Human to the global technology community at the 2024 World Mobile Congress, held February 26-29 in Barcelona, Spain. These are among the 17 products representing Viettel's technology ecosystem that will be showcased at the largest annual mobile technology event in 2024.
The event is expected to bring together 2,400 technology firms and nearly 85,000 visitors.
Phu Yen to develop global coral reef geopark by 2050
The central coastal province of Phu Yen plans to establish the Phu Yen Geopark and make it a member of the UNESCO Global Parks Network by 2050. The Phu Yen Geopark covers Da Dia Reef in An Ninh Dong Commune, Tuy An District. In December 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha issued a decision regulating the restoration and conservation of the reef, which covers an area of nearly 810 hectares.
Vietnam and Denmark promote Green Strategic Partnership
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang confirmed that Vietnam is coordinating with Denmark to accelerate the Green Strategic Partnership Action Plan based on the Joint Declaration approved by the prime ministers of the two countries in November 2023.
According to State Secretary for Trade and Global Sustainability Lina Gandlose Hansen, Denmark hopes that the two countries will soon translate this cooperation framework into detailed action plans for each phase, while supporting Vietnam in implementing the Vietnam-Denmark Energy Partnership Program 2020-2025 (DEPP3) and the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).
Hai Duong promotes education, training and trade cooperation with Suwon, Korea
The northern province of Hai Duong is expecting Suwon officials to promote the South Korean city's investment in Hai Duong, build high-quality international hospitals, and help train quality human resources for the province.
According to Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, the province currently has 126 Korean investment projects with a total registered investment of US$1.4 billion. South Korea currently ranks first in the number of investment projects and third in the amount of capital invested in Hai Duong, creating jobs for more than 70,000 workers.
Ho Chi Minh City considers US$250 million investment for low-carbon city project
Ho Chi Minh City eyes an investment of US$250 million in the city's low-carbon urban project. The move is aimed to help the city generate and trade high-quality carbon credits on the international market.
The total investment includes $170 million from the World Bank loan, $50 million in non-refundable grants from the Dutch government, and $30 million from the city counterpart fund. The project is expected to be prepared from 2024 to 2025 and executed from 2026 to 2030.
