Vietnam discusses enhanced national defense partnerships at Shangri-La Dialogue

During Vietnam's participation in the Shangri-La Dialogue, Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, met with his foreign counterparts and discussed ways to improve their potential cooperation with Vietnam.

During the meetings, the Vietnamese official emphasized the need to strengthen the partnership in digital transformation, training for rescue, emergency and coast guard operations.

Vietnam 2024 Festival in Japan officially launched

The Vietnam Festival in Japan 2024 was kicked off in Tokyo on June 1 to promote Vietnamese culture to locals and foreigners and strengthen ties between the two countries.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu, the festival, now in its 15th year, has become the largest event for Vietnamese in Japan. It is expected to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen the ties between the Vietnamese and Japanese people.

Ethnic minority culture on display in Hanoi in June

Nearly 100 people from 16 ethnic groups across the country will showcase their cultural activities in June at the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village in Hanoi's Son Tay Town. The event aims to celebrate International Children's Day (June 1) and Vietnam Family Day (June 28).

At the event, visitors will enjoy the presentation of the cultural values of ethnic communities, folk games, rituals, and others.

Real estate company aims to build 50,000 low-cost homes by 2030

Real estate developer Hoang Quan Group plans to build 50,000 low-cost housing units by 2030, its annual shareholders' meeting heard on June 1. The company will launch about 3,000 units for sale this year in the Mekong provinces of Tra Vinh, Tien Giang, and Vinh Long. The number of low-cost homes will increase in the following years.

The announced plan is part of the company's commitment to the government's program to build one million affordable homes.

Local store in Hanoi hosts first Apple expo

Museum by ShopDunk, the first Apple technology expo in Vietnam, opened on June 1 to welcome technology and Apple lovers in Hanoi and other localities. In its first edition, the expo displays Apple technology products and devices to experience and provides the stories of the company's 50 years of development.

The expo is organized every weekend in June at the ShopDunk Care facility on Xa Dan Street in Hanoi.
