Golfers on course for Vietnam - Singapore Alliance Cup 2024

The Vietnam-Singapore Alliance Cup 2024, a friendly golf tournament, will be held from March 27 to 29 at the Legend Danang Golf Resort in the beach city of Danang. The event will bring together 24 professional golfers from both countries. On the sidelines of the tournament, the Vietnamese and Singaporean teams will visit famous places around Danang such as Hoi An Ancient Town and Ba Na Hills. The Vietnam team will introduce local specialties and cultural heritage of the region.
Top Asia-Pacific university students participate in programming contest
Nearly 200 outstanding students from leading universities in the Asia-Pacific region came to Vietnam to participate in the final round of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), held in Hanoi on March 1. The students came from 40 prestigious universities in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Among them, 12 teams represented seven major technical universities in Vietnam. The Vietnam round was one of eight ICPC regional competitions to select 16 teams for the global finals in Kazakhstan in September.
FPT Acquires Japanese IT Company
FPT Corporation has acquired 100% of Next Advanced Communications (NAC), a Japanese information technology services company, doubling its customer base and service offerings and deepening its foothold in the Japanese market. The acquisition allows FPT to leverage the expertise of 300 Japanese engineers in strategic consulting, architecture design, system planning, design, development, and operations. It brings FPT closer to its goal of achieving US$1 billion in revenue from the Japanese market by 2027, with more than half of its employees being foreigners.
Vietnam International Sourcing 2024 to be held in Ho Chi Minh City
Vietnam International Sourcing 2024 will be held on June 6-8 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will include the "Connecting International Supply Chains" export forum, seminars, business matchmaking activities, and an exhibition. The event will be twice the size of the 2023 event, covering 10,000 square meters and hosting 500 companies from various sectors, including Aeon, Uniqlo (Japan); Walmart, Amazon, Boeing, AES (USA); Carrefour, Decathlon (France); Central Group (Thailand); Coppel (Mexico); IKEA (Sweden), LuLu (UAE).
